KNIGHT, Katherine

Toronto based artist and York University Professor Katherine knight is nationally recognized by her distinctive landscape based photographic works. Working both factually and through small interventions, Knight infuses the ordinary with emotive and metaphoric content. In 2000 Knight received the Duke and Duchess of York Prize in recognition of excellence in her work.

She has exhibited extensively in solo and group shows across Canada and her works are held in many public and corporate collections including the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography, Banff Centre for the Arts and The Canada Council Art Bank.
