He is an un-disciplined and de-disciplined architectural investigator, artist and curator working under the aegis of “Architecture Parallax.” It is a methodology for discourse that in praxis poses questions, how to think, articulate, represent another ordering system not based on vision, not dependent upon this visual singularity, not based on sight as the singular verification of reality.
Pilis instigates a multi-media project exploring issues and questions regarding “the blind architect” as a critique of the modernization of vision and the collapse of the depth of field.
He has exhibited, lectured, delivered workshops and published internationally; Canada, USA, England, Spain, Germany, Italy and Brazil. Pilis is represented by Galeria Virgílio in São Paulo, Brazil - www.galeriavirgilio.com.br and Peak Gallery in Toronto, Canada - www.peakgallery.com
